She Built It for Her Daughters

More than 30 years ago in Atlanta, a Black mother began building a jewelry business with one goal: to create a stable future for her two daughters.

Their father was not part of their upbringing, so she carried the responsibility of raising them on her own. After learning the jewelry trade and sourcing from her own mother, she started with a small jewelry counter and slowly built it into something more.

Her daughters grew up in the shop. They did homework behind the counter, wrapped jewelry after school, and watched their mother work long days to give their family stability. As they grew older, they joined her in the business and became part of the legacy she had created.

Over the years, Monroe Family Jewelry became more than a store. It became part of the Atlanta community, sharing in graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, church Sundays, Mother's Day, first jobs, and countless family celebrations.

Why We're Closing

After years of rising operating costs, declining foot traffic, and mounting financial pressure, keeping the physical store open is no longer possible.

We exhausted every realistic option to save the business, but continuing would place our family under even greater financial strain. With heavy hearts, we’ve made the decision to close Monroe Family Jewelry permanently.

One Final Collection

Rather than allowing the remaining jewelry to disappear with the store, we want these final pieces to pass directly to the people who will give them a new meaning.

If this store has to disappear, we don't want its jewelry to disappear with it.

Every piece that finds a new home carries a small part of what our mother built for her daughters.

The store closes. Her legacy continues.
